GEORGE WAS ADOPTED!
I'm George, a pure bred, 3 year old, Harlequin Great Dane. I'm looking for a very special family that will love me and give me a secure home for the rest of my life. I've been in 2 homes so far but children were the priorities and I was rehomed. Now I'm in foster care and I would love to find an experienced giant breed knowledgable home to call my own. All this moving around from one family to another is not much fun. I'm a lovable big guy but also carry the protectiveness we Great Danes are known for. I'm a creature of comfort too so if you don't care for a 150 pound fur ball on your sofa or bed, I may not be a very good match for you unless you provide me with my own special place to rest.
I get along great with other dogs and cats too. I prefer a home without young children. I want to be the center of attention next time around!
George was adopted and returned due to his protectiveness. It's mentioned that he is a protective Great Dane. He is a great dog is most every respect but it's not advised to allow someone into your home without you there while he's loose. It isn't fair to him to decide who is friend and who is foe.
If you think you can give me a lifetime of love and commitment, please request an application for me. Please put George in the email subject line. Also please explain your experience with us giant breeds. I am neutered, my shots and rabies are up to date, I'm wormed and flea treated too as well as micro chipped. So, I'm ready to go!
Thank you and I'm looking forward to meeting you!
Please take a few moments to visit our Petfinder home page at www.collarofhope.petfinder.com for additional information about our rescue, adoption application process and adoption fees. George has a $350.00 adoption fee.
