This precious little girl is CINDY. She is a coal black, very soft, 7#, 5 month old puppy. She was born on 6-8-2011. Her mother was a small Poodle and her father a ShihTzu.
CINDY was given to a senior couple and it was the wrong dog for them. The energy of the disabled man and his senior wife and this happy little active dog didn't go together. We see this allot in rescue and so often end up getting the dog.
CINDY is very quiet, cuddly, and a gentle personality. She has been sleeping on a dog bed in our bedroom at night and does great. Although, I have been waking up in the mornings lately and find her snuggled up against me. She is so little I don't know she is there. She is a smart and friendly little girl with a pleasant quiet personality.
She is easy to have in the home and she is so good with the other foster dogs.
She will have a non-shedding hair coat which is nice for people with allergies BUT she will need to be brushed almost daily to keep the tangles out or be groomed and her hair coat cut short, about every 6 weeks. This can be expensive so make sure you can afford and want to do this. A nicely groomed dog with her breeding is a very cute little dog.
CINDY is used to sleeping in a crate at night at her previous home....as long as she is let out to potty in the middle of the night, and does well. But she truly loves to sleep in the human bed and snuggle all night.
Because she is such a small and fine boned little dog and doesn't seem to be comfortable about children, there cannot be young children in the home under about 10 years of age. Please understand this is for the safety of CINDY and her small size.
A fenced yard is mandatory for her safety. Often times a prey driven dog walking by an unfenced or invisible fencing yard where there is a fluffy little dog like Cindy, the dog mistakes it for a squirrel, rabbit or cat, and comes after the dog for the kill.
CINDY has been spayed, micro-chipped, groomed and vaccinated. There is a $225 adoption fee to help with these expenses.
