About Bernadette

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
PLEASE go to our Petfinder Home Page www.collarofhope.petfinder.com for information about our rescue, adoption process and to get our adoption application Bernadette, which means "bold as a bear" because she looked like a little polar bear when she arrived. She is probably going to be a big girl. She has fluffy puppy fur so will be a medium length fur as an adult. She has the lightest fur color of this litter They were born 12/5/11 so they are very young babies. They will need someone available to be with them most of the time to insure they are successful throughout her puppy months so they are great adults. This litter arrived to CoH with their Mama, Raine, when the babies were 9 days old. They were born under a mobile home to parents that roamed the area freely. Raine is a medium sized Collie looking mix. The puppies in this litter look like mixes of Golden Retriever, Yellow Labrador and German Shepherd. Dogs can have multiple Fathers of a litter. We cannot guarantee adult size or exact breeds. These puppies are not going to be apartment dogs. Their adoptive homes will need a private yard while they are vulnerable to parvo and distemper during their first 4 months and until they are fully vaccinated with all 3 puppies vaccines. If you are not familiar with parvo, PLEASE read up on it as well as puppy vaccine protocol (8-12-16 weeks). The puppies will be spayed/neutered, 1st vaccine (adopter will be responsible for the 2nd and 3rd puppy vaccines as well as the Rabies when they are old enough - 12 and 16 weeks of age), worming / parasite treatments kept current every 2 weeks and they are microchipped. Puppy adoption fee of $250 applies.
