Cheyenne is a 40 pound, border collie mix, about 2 years old, who came from a shelter that confiscated 130 dogs from a bad situation. The dogs were not handled a lot if any so are shy and slow to warm up to humans. She didn't nip, just avoided us at first. She is a calm personality unlike a typical border collie and her friend Sioux. In a calm place, she even enjoys a little cuddle time. She will need someone patient but someone who will also encourage her to be the best she can be. She is a project dog that needs an experienced handler. She has a lot to learn yet about living in and with society. With work and a commitment, she will make a great companion in due time. Her home must have a secure yard, no exceptions. A home without younger kids would also be best as she's going through her transition to domestic life. A home must be tidy as she may collect and sometimes chew up your belongings if she's able to get them. Absolutely no tying her out. She will chew through it and disappear.
This dog is spayed, vaccinated including rabies, and parasite treated/prevented as a minimum.
