Percy Jackson is a wonderful big boy seeking the proper home for him. Yes, he's big and he's hairy but he is a house dog. If you intend to keep him outside, do not apply for his adoption.
He has more of a Pyr look and a Saint's personality. He is wonderful with people and other animals. As great as he is with other animals, he is a dominant guy. He could care less about cats and loves dogs however if the other dog is a dominant personality, he will try to get that dog to submit to him. He's never fought or bit another dog. He enjoys playing with other dogs.
His new family should be knowledgeable with the Saint breed type in particular and truly know how to communicate with him. He's smart, listens well, has some training, easy on leash and only pulls occasionally if he wants to meet another passing dog along his walks. He loves a walk early in the morning and in the evening. He's had very good house manners except will sneak up on a sofa occasionally, so if you don't like that, it may be a problem. He does not steal food or counter surf and he's house trained. Once in a tub, he's easy to bathe also.
His new family must love to brush dogs to keep his coat gorgeous and keep his double dews trimmed.
He has been bounced around and we're hoping when we place him next, it's the perfect home for him where he can live the rest of his life as part of his own happy family.
Prior to adoption, our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and parasite treated/prevented.
