Prior to adoption, our dogs are spay/neutered, vaccinated including rabies/age appropriate, and parasite treated/prevented as a minimum.
Wendy is a sweet, Old English Bulldog that we took in after her Mom passed away. She arrived obese and is on a weight loss program now. She also came to us with a raw, irritated belly which has been treated and healed now. It will take a few months to get her down to a healthy weight. She has been fine with other dogs and even cats with us. She does growl at other dogs when food is out so she's definitely a foodie dog. We crate her only for meals. She's very housetrained so doesn't need to be crated otherwise and in fact hates it and will bark til she's let out after meal time is done. In the right home, we may allow her adoption or foster to adopt before she reaches a healthy weight. Her new family must keep up with her meal plan and be able and willing to walk her at her pace as she's losing weight. She can't do stairs more than a couple in and out of the house.
