This so handsome and endearing little boy is BOPPER the Boston Terrier. He is such a delight.
BOPPER is about 16 to 17 weeks old and weighs 16# and is only 12" tall. He won't be a very tall adult. He is black and white with some brindle color on his lower legs. He is a very short legged chunky sweet pup and so playful with other dogs. He is just great with children.
BOPPER loves to be held and carried around and to have naps on a warm lap. He doesn't like to get cold or too hot. I always find him sitting on the heat registers. He is funny and full of energy but not a hyper pooch at all. His favorite pal is a Spaniel older pup. They run and roll and chase each other around and around the house and yard.
BOPPER is crate trained for night time sleeping. and says he must have a warm bed at night. He spends time on chilly days laying on the heat vents. He is the happiest when warm or being cuddled.
BOPPER has a slight cleft palate under his left nostril...there is just a part of his upper lip that is missing. It doesn't go any further than the lip and is considered cosmetic only. No surgery needs to be done. It only makes him more precious and unique.
BOPPER needs a home, since he is still so young, where there is someone home at least part of the day. Young pups do not do well left alone for long periods as dogs are pack animals by nature and must have other dogs OR humans around. Without this, they can grow into unstable adults and have behavioral issues. Socialization and training is very important during the growing years.
Being his breed he needs a strong leader to train him to be a real gentleman. Please research both breeds if you are not familiar with them. dogbreedinfo.com
Boston's has energetic, loving, playful, mischievous personalities and need consistent training and proper discipline to become mannerly pets. People who have or have had Boston's usually don't stop with having just one.
A fenced yard is MANDATORY for his safety. Invisible fencing is not acceptable. A home inspection will be done. He does use the dog door to go in and out but isn't totally housetrained yet.
There is a $350 adoption donation for BOPPER. He has been neutered and has received 3 vaccinations, wormings and is micro-chipped and flea and tick treatment applied. FOR ADOPTION APPLICATION PLEASE Email... lifesaversrescue@live.com
