Cowboy is a very sweet young 8 month old boy who lost his home to divorce and neither able to take him with them or worked too many hours for his best interest. He looks like a perfect mix of german shepherd and red heeler, he's 47 pounds so a larger medium sized (or small large depending on your prospective). This boy is crate trained, house trained but doesn't know any commands yet. He's learning leash manners and starting to learn some basic commands so his new family must be capable and willing to continue working on his obedience training and leash work.
He's learning "off" as he will jump up when excited sometimes. For this reason, smaller kids are not be a good idea. He's good with dogs but smaller dogs must be able to handle his youthful antics, cats that will stand up to him rather than run from him otherwise no cats please as he will chase, kids and all adults.
This dog will be adopted to a family looking for a house dog and never left outside!
A securely fenced yard is mandatory for him so he can safely burn off some youthful energy. This means no apartment residents or e-fences.
