Blake is a beautiful boy but he is guarded at first when meeting new people.  He will not be your best friend when you meet him. If you can't accept this about him, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR HIM.  He's had 5 meets already and he's still not adopted because of it. Also please no apartment living or kids under teenage age if any.
For this reason, only those experienced with dog handling will be considered for him

It doesn't take him long before he's your very best friend though.  He does take longer to warm up to males than females but he will warm up to the guys also. We were told he's a border collie mix and he may be or else he's a spaniel mix perhaps.  We don't know for sure.  He's fine with other dogs but does not engage with them in play or anything, just hanging out.  He seems to relax faster when another dog is around though.
He is either the bigger end of a small dog or the smaller end of a medium sized dog, depends on one's prospective.
He would benefit having someone home to acclimate him into a new home and life, at least to start with.  He does not like being crated so his new family will either have to work on that or not do it at all.
